- How do I access my account online?
You can download the Sleepy Hollow app on Android or Apple devices. The app allows you to log in on its dropdown menu. You can also log in via the website at sleepyhollowgolfclub.com
- Are there mandatory fees for members other than dues?
All golfing members are required to pay the annual range fee. All members must meet the quarterly food and beverage minimum ($150) or they will be charged for the deficiency.
- How can I track my charges at the club?
You have access to your account via our website. You can pay charges on your account at any time via check, ACH or credit card. There is a 3% fee for using a credit card. Please check your account activity frequently to ensure accuracy. Any issues with your account should be brought to the attention of the office staff as soon as possible. Account balances are to be paid in full by the 26th of each month or you will incur a late fee.
- What if I pay my bill late or I do not pay my bill?
If you pay late, you will be charged a $30 late fee. If you do not pay your bill, you will be suspended from using the club until you pay your outstanding balance. After 90 days in suspension status, your membership will be terminated and you will be referred to collections. Otherwise, you must notify the Club in writing if you wish to resign your membership.
- Can Sleepy Hollow increase the dues or charge an assessment?
Generally, only after a meeting and vote by certificate holders. However, per the bylaws, the board may increase dues by 2% in January of each year. Any membership level subject to a potential assessment has the right to vote on the proposed assessment. Assessments are infrequent, but sometimes necessary.
- How do I know what’s happening at the club?
You should be on our email list. You can download the Sleepy Hollow app. You can check our calendar on the website and sync it to your smart phone. You can like our Facebook page and join our members only Facebook group. We also have a regular newsletter distributed via email and available at the club.
- If I am a certificate holder, will my certificate deposit be returned if I resign my membership?
Yes, but the timing of reimbursement is at the discretion of the board of directors and will be reimbursed in chronological order.
- Who is eligible to become a member of the board of governors?
Any certificate holding member is entitled to run for a position on the board. Prospective members are nominated in late fall and the elections takes place at the annual meeting in December. Any member may participate in our various committees and we encourage participation. Each member of the board of governors is a volunteer. The day to day operations of the club are run by the various department heads over which the board has supervisory authority.
- What is the Wine Club?
By joining the wine club, you will get 2 bottles of wine each month. You have the choice of 2 whites, 2 reds or a combination of the two. Our Director of Operations and wine distributor make the selections each month. We also conduct quarterly wine tastings with multiple wine selections and hors d’ oeuvres. The wine tasting events are complimentary to wine club members.
- What is 1955 Club?
The 1955 Club is a VIP type club of members who are committed to making Sleepy Hollow the best it can be. As a member, you will be invited to private parties, early entry into social events, preferred reservations and more. If you are interested, feel free to contact the club professional or one of our board members for details.
- How do I access the golf simulator as a golfing member?
Members will access the golf simulator tee sheet by logging on to the club’s website/app and using the golf simulator tee sheet tab. Please know that you will be charged when booking the time. There will be a user guide in the simulator room but we encourage all new users to ask for assistance from the pro shop when using for the first time. In order to use the simulator while the pro shop is closed, there must be an adult over the age of 21 in the group. You will be charged for the simulator if you reserve time regardless of whether you actually use the simulator or cancel.
- Can dining or social members use the golf simulator?
No, unless they are using the simulator as a guest of a golfing member.
- If I am a golfing member, can I use the golf course on days the course is closed?
No. However, all members may walk the course (without golf clubs) when it is closed. The club may have security patrolling the grounds and you will need identification to demonstrate you are a member. You may fish in the ponds only when the course is closed. Nonmembers on premises when the course is closed are considered trespassers.
- Can I make a tee time online?
Yes, you can reserve a tee time via our website or login through the app. You will not be charged for cart rental until you check in at the pro shop to play.
- Can I get golf lessons from Sleepy Hollow?
Yes, contact our club professional and he will arrange a time for lessons. Our pro shop also offers a full line of golf clubs, equipment and attire. Our professional can custom fit clubs to your particular swing.
- Does Sleepy Hollow have golf leagues I can join?
Yes, we have a couples’ league on Sunday afternoons; men’s league on Thursday evenings; and a women’s league on Wednesday evenings. There is no minimum skill required for these leagues. They are a great way to have fun and socialize. We also have a simulator league in the winter months and various golf events throughout the season.
- Is tipping required at the club?
A service charge of 18% is automatically added to tickets for food or drink purchases. If you wish to tip more, it can be added when you sign the ticket. Cart staff can be tipped at your discretion. Extra gratuities are always appreciated.
- Can dining members use the concession area of the pool?
No, unless we are holding a specific event where dining members are invited or if dining members are using the pool as a guest of a member.
- Does Sleepy Hollow have a swim team?
Yes, the Sleepy Hollow Sharks is a recreational swim team for children of all ages which begins in early June and concludes in late July. This is an excellent way to have a good time and get some exercise.
- How do I access the tennis courts?
Sleepy Hollow uses the CourtReserve program which allows members to reserve a court time via the CourtReserve app or online at courtreserve.com. All primary members are registered on CourtReserve and will receive a welcome email. If you have dependents who wish to access the courts using his/her own account, simply contact the office and provide their name, member number and email address. Once you reserve a court, you will be emailed a pin # 30 minutes prior to your court time. This code is specific to your time slot and will work 15 minutes before and after your court time.
